SUSTAINABILITY IN OUR VALUE CHAIN
Responsible product range

Since 2014, all our coffee has been sustainability certified through either Rainforest Alliance or Fairtrade. Our organic range is also certified with the EU organic logo and KRAV. Arvid Nordquist’s coffee roastery was the first in the Nordic region to switch to fully certified beans. The certification standards are based on comprehensive requirements for sustainable working conditions, protection of human rights, conservation of biodiversity and reduction of climate impact. Compliance is also monitored through independent third-party audits. All of this will give our coffee customers peace of mind.
Our ambition is to increase the proportion of sustainability-certified sales also within our other product portfolios: by broadening the range and having an increased focus on strengthening the sales of certified products. Our ambition is that sustainability should be a natural choice. That’s why we want to make it easier for our customers and offer them a wider range of certified products. This applies not only to coffee, but to our entire portfolio: food, confectionery, non-food and wine. Our ambition is clear – sustainability should be an obvious choice.
Objective:
- 50% of the coffee volume sold must be organic within the OOH channel
- Higher growth than the organic coffee category in the grocery trade
- Increased share of certified sales in food and confectionery
- 65% of total sales in SEK within non-food must be certified
- A larger proportion of the wine volume should consist of organic and/or ethically certified products
