Robertson’s
Robertson’s premium-quality marmalades have brightened Swedish breakfast tables since 1907. Their wide and appealing range offers something to suit every taste. The story of Robertson’s began in 1859, when James Robertson opened a shop where he sold, among other things, marmalade made from his wife Marion’s recipe. The marmalade came about after James was persuaded one day to buy a batch of bitter oranges. When he found he couldn’t sell them, Marion suggested they use the oranges to make marmalade instead.
Robertson’s marmelad became quickly known for its high quality and good taste. In 1864, James Robertson & Sons Ltd was founded, and the first factory opened in 1890. In 1933, Robertson’s was appointed Royal Warrant Holder to the English court. Today Robertson’s is exported to a large number of countries around the world. Robertson’s has been distributed by Arvid Nordquist in Sweden since 1907, and is therefore the oldest brand in our portfolio. There are a variety of different products in Robertson’s range such as Lemon Curd, Lime Curd, Silver shred lemon marmalade, Ginger marmalade and Olde English Thick Cut.
