Nissin

Already in 1958, the founder of the company, Momofuku Ando, came up with a way to manufacture instant noodles. The concept quickly became a worldwide success and has since been copied by many competitors. Today, Nissin has its production in 50 locations around the world and produces approximately 4.7 billion portions of noodles each year.

In 2005, Nissin’s noodles were aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery as provisions. The specially manufactured noodles “Space Ram” were created to be served in weightlessness. The noodles were divided into smaller pieces to facilitate consumption and the soup was thick-flowing so it would not flow away into the shuttle’s sensitive instrument panels. Nissin is currently available in Sweden and Finland. The brand consists of 3 product groups; Demae Ramen, Cup Noodles, Soba Bags & Soba Cups. Each product group has a range of exciting flavors.
