Figaro
Figaro is one of the world’s leading olive producers, processing more than 20 million kilograms of olives each year and exporting to around 60 countries worldwide. Founded in Seville in 1920, Figaro remains headquartered there today and is a fourth-generation family-owned company. The name Figaro originates from one of the founders’ passion for the opera The Marriage of Figaro, which also has a strong connection to the city of Seville. Figaro’s olives are grown in Andalusia, the most olive-dense region in the world. The provinces of Córdoba and Jaén alone are home to approximately 50 million olive trees.
Today, the portfolio primarily consists of green olives stuffed with pimento, as well as green and black olives with and without pits. The range also includes cornichons and artichoke hearts.
