Our sustainability goals

Our sustainability work encompasses social, environmental and economic responsibility throughout our value chain with a focus on climate and compliance with human rights.

Paris Agreement

The Paris Agreement is a global climate agreement that entered into force in 2016. The core of the agreement is to limit global warming to well below 2 degrees, with a target of 1.5 degrees. Our commitment is to reduce our climate-impacting emissions from coffee’s entire production chain by 50% by 2030, in line with the Paris Agreement. This covers everything from land preparation and cultivation to transport, production, packaging and waste. We are committed to the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) and report to CDP. We measure our emissions in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol in Scope 1, 2 and 3 and publish the results annually.

We take responsibility for the entire value chain

Sustainable or organic wines are becoming increasingly popular and we see a constant increase in the supply of wine and beer. All our producers work very environmentally consciously to minimize their impact on the environment. At Arvid Nordquist, we take responsibility for our entire value chain while wanting to contribute to increased knowledge about how sustainability and taste go hand in hand. For us, good aftertaste is always part of good taste.

Since 1884 we have offered taste experiences—of the highest quality.

We have many brands under our umbrella, which contributes to a varied working day for the team. This creates an exciting dynamic as we don’t work with just one part of a brand, but with several different categories and brands.

  • Lisbet Ryg Olsen

My name is Lisbet and I’ve been Export Manager for our own product since 2019: our beloved coffee. The ambition is to bring coffee to the world so that more coffee lovers can enjoy our outstanding products!

  • Rebecca Henling

Our part of Arvid Nordquist’s portfolio includes products in the categories of household, cleaning and hygiene. I work with the brands Duck, Glade, Raid, Autan and Mr. Muscle, which are owned by our US business partner SC Johnson.

I was just going to start by saying no, I don’t work with coffee – as a little twist. That’s usually my standard reply when social conversations slip into work.

“As a family-owned business, we carry with us a love of coffee that has been passed down through generations – founded on a passion for taste that permeates everything we do.”

Wilhelm Nordquist, Purchasing Director Arvid Nordquist
