Arvid Nordquist works with sustainability based on long-term responsibility. This includes supporting organizations whose work concretely strengthens biodiversity and social development. That is why we have chosen to support the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) – an organization with over 60 years of experience in protecting Africa’s wildlife and their habitats. Our contribution is linked to the sale of our Wanyama and Kahawa Tembo (for businesses) coffee, where we donate $25,000 each year to support the AWF’s work.

Animals, nature, and people
AWF works in some of Africa’s most species-rich landscapes, including around the Virunga Mountains, Serengeti, and Kilimanjaro. In these areas, they focus on preserving habitats for species such as elephants, gorillas, and rhinos, while collaborating with local communities. The goal is to find solutions where both humans and animals can live in the same area, with reduced conflict and increased understanding.
An important part of the work is education – both in the form of school projects and leadership programs that strengthen local knowledge and commitment to conservation. Initiatives such as Classroom Africa improve access to education in areas where AWF operates, with a focus on integrating environmental and nature knowledge into teaching.
